From the founder

I spent seven years inside Arsenal leading the product team that built the recruitment and performance platforms the club ran on. I left in December 2025 to build Sentrum. This is why.

Before that I was a player at Arsenal, Ipswich Town and Burnley, and then a scout for Arsenal across CONCACAF. I have sat in most of the seats around a recruitment decision: the one being decided about, the one filing reports into a system nobody could search, and eventually the one responsible for the system itself.

Since leaving I have spent most of my time talking to clubs, and I hear the same three things almost every time. A Sporting Director with twenty tabs open. A data scientist spending the week building pipelines instead of models. And a scouting history locked in a fragmented, unsearchable mess, where the reports survive but the reasoning behind them doesn’t.

This is not one club’s problem. It is an industry-wide crisis.

Why does every club have to build its own “data plumbing” from scratch? Centralising your information is no longer a competitive advantage. It is a competitive necessity. The platforms I built at Arsenal stayed at Arsenal. What came with me is knowing what clubs actually need, which is why we are not guessing at the shape of the problem, and why your club doesn’t have to hire an army of engineers to find out.

Starting again has turned out to be the point. Freed from what any one club had already built, we are able to do things I could not do before: workflows that follow a decision from first viewing to sign-off, and features that only make sense once every department is finally working from the same picture. I think that changes how recruitment gets done. We would rather show you than argue about it.

What we won’t do is hand you a “black box” algorithm that spits out a number and tells you who to sign. I don’t believe in them, and neither does anyone who has had to defend a signing to a board. We build tools that help you make better, faster decisions by centralising your own intelligence. We build the infrastructure so you can build the squad.

We aren’t building a database. We’re building the decision engine for the next era of football operations.
